good grief

this series of vessels depicts women trapped in bottles as a very literal symbol of the frustration
associated with grief. the grieving process is frequently connected to the loss of a loved one, possession, or relationship; but sometimes it is simply the assimilation of the realization that things
won’t end as anticipated. my vessels are intended to examine all sides of this
process: the profound disappointment coupled with the realization that this process is necessary, and that a wealth
of support exists in our universe to assist
us with our healing.
